BURMA'S pro-democracy leader Aung San Suu Kyi wants to get a twitter account when she is freed from house arrest. Her lawyer Nyan Win said: "She wants to use twitter to get in touch with the younger generation."

ELEPHANTS RESCUED FROM THAI FLOODS
Ninety-two elephants were marched almost two miles to drier ground after floods covered homes and paralysed transport in Thailand.
Weekend downpours hit central and north-eastern areas, flooding part of an Elephant Village tourist attraction north of Bangkok.
Five young elephants and their mothers were moved to higher ground in the village but the rest were taken nearly two miles to a drier location.
